Who this policy covers

This policy describes how Possum Protect VIC deals with personal details that reach us through this website, by phone, by email and during possum jobs.

In this policy "we" and "us" mean Possum Protect VIC. Send any privacy question to info@possumprotectvic.com.au.

What we collect

Our quote form asks for:

• The possum service you want
• Your name, a phone number, an email address and your suburb or postcode
• A short note about what you have heard, smelt or found
• The page of this website the form was sent from

On a job we may also note the address, roof access details, pets at the property, photos of openings and repairs, and the work completed. This website never asks for card details.

How we use it

We use your details to:

• Ring you back with a price
• Book and carry out the removal and repairs
• Keep photo records for your two year guarantee
• Answer questions and complaints
• Meet record keeping duties under the law

We do not use your details for anything else without your agreement, unless the law allows or requires it.

Marketing

We do not sell or rent your details. We only send reminders if you ask for them, and each one explains how to opt out.

Who else sees it

Only people and services needed for your job:

• The specialist who attends your property
• The providers that host this website and run our email and quote form
• Government agencies where a law requires it

Some of those providers may store information outside Australia. We use providers with sound security.

Cookies and server logs

This site uses essential cookies and standard server logs to stay fast and secure. Logs can include an IP address, a browser type and the pages visited.

If analytics or advertising cookies are added, this page will be updated first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your details from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and only people who need them can see them.

Records are kept while they are useful, including for the two year guarantee period, and then deleted or de-identified.

Seeing or correcting your details

Email info@possumprotectvic.com.au to ask for a copy of what we hold or to correct it. We aim to reply within 30 days.

Complaints

Send a privacy complaint to us in writing and we will reply in writing. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy. The date above shows the current version.
