Scope

By asking Possum Protect VIC for a quote or book possum removal, roof repairs, proofing, trapping or dead possum removal in Melbourne, on the Mornington Peninsula or around Geelong, you accept these conditions.

Your Australian Consumer Law rights sit above anything written here.

Pricing

Website prices are starting prices and are shown as "from". Your price depends on the roof type, the number of storeys, access and the repairs needed.

• You get a written price before any work starts
• Quotes are based on your description and what we find on the roof
• Extra work is explained and only done with your approval
• All prices include GST

Inspection

Possum inspections are free, $0. You get a written plan with photos and the price, with no obligation to book.

Bookings

Jobs are booked 7 days, during daylight hours. Arrival times are estimates and we ring if we are running late.

If plans change, a quick call a day ahead lets us offer the slot to someone else.

Wildlife law

Possums are protected under the Wildlife Act 1975. We use one way doors wherever the roof allows. If a brushtail has to be caged, the law says it goes back out on your own land, no further than 50 metres from the cage, once the sun has set that same day. Relocation is not permitted, and ringtails are not trapped without authority.

Your part

To help the job go smoothly, please:

• Let us know beforehand who and what lives at the property, including dogs and cats
• Give us safe access to the roof and roof space as agreed
• Leave any one way door or cage where we put it and do not open or move it
• Follow the advice in your report, such as trimming branches near the roof

Two year guarantee

Each point we seal is covered by a two year written guarantee. If a possum gets back in through one of those points during that time, we come back and fix it free.

Excluded from the guarantee: openings you chose not to repair, new damage from storms, renovations or other trades, or a removal visit where no repairs were booked.

Payment

Payment is due when the job is complete. We accept bank transfer and card.

Our responsibility

We do our work with due care and skill, and the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law apply in full.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for damage that existed before our visit, or for problems caused when our advice is not followed.
